How We Farm
Food is love, pasture to plate.
We are passionate about raising quality meats so you can confidently feed your loved ones. See below to learn our farming principles.
Feeding Families Well
Our primary goal in raising our animals is to provide you with high quality meat that you can confidently feed your family. Food is our love language, and a good meal starts with quality ingredients.
High quality meat for your family.
Animal Stewardship
Our animals enjoy rotational grazing on lush pasture, fresh air, and plenty of space to roam. They are raised in line with nature to ensure a healthy, happy life.
Animal welfare is front of mind.
Nutritious meat starts in the soil.Soil Health
We are constantly striving to learn how to steward our land in a way that nurtures the health of our soil. The nutrients in meat begin with the nutrients in the soil. We want to enhance the ecology of our land.
Our guiding mindset.Regenerative Farming
We strive to incorporate regenerative farming practices as much as possible. This means raising animals aligned with nature as God intended, nurturing the land, and prioritizing a trustworthy meat product.
Terminology
farming terms and what they mean for our farm
Regenerative Agriculture
1
Enhancing soil health, biodiversity, and overall ecology are guiding principles of regenerative agriculture. The goal is to leave the land better than we found it. As much as possible, we make decisions on our farm that prioritize the longevity and health of land, animals, and people.
Pasture Raised
2
Animals are raised on pasture (and/or in the forest) and are regularly moved to fresh ground to ensure a continuously varied diet of fresh forage. Their diets are supplemented with grain.
Rotational Grazing
3
Animals are moved on a regular basis in response to the land. We observe the animals’ impact on the space of land they are occupying on a daily basis and make decisions on when they should be moved to fresh forage.
